I think that this track listing is more in line with the whole "Swing" type of thing they were going for, at least for the most part....

 Side A:
1.  Life is For The Living
2.  Three Blind Mice
3.  Deep Purple
4.  How Deep is the ocean (With the Beach Boys singing using original backing track)
5.  It’s Over Now
6.  Everybody Wants To Live

Side B:
7.  Stella by Starlight (with the Beach Boys singing with original backing track)
8.  Lines (with more instrumental dubs and bass)
9.  Sherry (she needs me)
10.  Carnival
11.  It’s Trying To Say
12.  Still I Dream of It

"Hey little tomboy" and "Shortening Bread" would end up where they eventually ended up. and "On Broadway" would end up where it belongs as an unreleased track..

Does anybody really think that "Deep Purple" should be commercially released? I mean I'm glad to have it and all but Brian totally cracks his voice on it.

Well... me, I guess. I like the way his voice cracks on that song-- conveys the heavy emotion he was no doubt experiencing. A lot of my favorite vocal performances are imperfect in one way or another.

well I was thinking in terms of how "Hey Little Tomboy" was eventually released on MIU the same with "Shortening Bread" for LA.. kind of like they went back and finished the album later...I Know that "Carnival" is a "landlocked" song but I think it would have fit on AC as a segway song because it is short but the production is actually pretty cool...if "When Girls get together" wasn't released on KTSA I was considering it on AC as well (without the weird drum sound)
