Pleasure Island - Is it going to be?
After Brian's solo history of the tortured artist who, walks the line, lays down his burden, dances the night away, and welcomes a brand new day
has gotten a little old, for me anyway, I welcome something that might be based more on fun than recovery.
This Pleasure Island appears to be right up Brian's alley. While I'm not encouraging a bunch of covers, or trying to emulate his old stuff - Brian's been there, done that -
I've always enjoyed that hedonistic side of Brian. "Amusement Parks U.S.A.", "Roller Skating Child", "The Boogie's Back In Town", "It's Trying To Say (Baseball)", and "Someone To Love" is some wild, weird stuff.
I miss that crazy (in a good way) side of Brian. Is it still there? Maybe he could call up Grandpa Mike and Uncle Al and start chasing girls around again!

Great post.
