i have well over 4 figures of just vinyl stuff on the beach boys. lots of stuff. but i would have to say, for me, that my copy of a U.S. test pressing of holland with "we got love" along with the label coupling sheet for the lp as the item i would say i like the best in my collection of vinyl stuff.

I totally have all kinds of rare stuff that nobody else has ever seen or heard.
I > You.
(In real life I have a half dozen--at most--BBs vinyl. I doubt any have any particular value, the music on them [remember that?] aside.)

Rarest thing I have is probably the Heroes and Villains picture sleeve that was supposed to be used for SMiLE. It's the more common European version though (without the number blocked out)

One of my most prized possessions is the Heroes & Villains "cartoon" picture sleeve
signed by Brian and Van Dyke. I also have one of the old repro SMiLE booklets from about 20 years ago signed by Brian, and a 15 big ones tour program with the autographs of all five original members, found at a garage sale for 50 cents.
I bought some old film reels with "Oppenheim/Inside Pop/BB" scrawled on the canisters at a local flea market a few years back, but put them in storage and they got completely mildewed due to dampness in the storage space. Were those anything special?
I have this thing where I think its funny when jokes completely bomb, when nobody laughs. To me that's funny.

Oh, now I am serious:
I don't have the rarest of the rarest, but I am rather fond of:
'I Just Wasn't Made For These Times' (stereo) on Sub Pop. Beautiful sleeve too. I got two of those.

I have not bought anything in years but have a fairly substantial collection. All US pic sleeves, etc. I guess the highlights would include Salt Lake City promo give-away 45, X-Surfin, Candix Surfin, Survivors, and a lot of early 70s rare 45s.

Yeah, I bought some acetates like that from some hippie looking dude at a garage sale in LA in the 80s. It was scratchy and some singer that sounded like Brian Wilson in the '60s was singing all these weird lyrics over "Do You Like Worms?" and "Child is Father of the Man" that I never heard before. Plus, there was some song about being out in the barnyard and being in great shape, then something about sunshine. I never heard those before on any of the bootlegs so I pitched it. Didn't belong there, I figured. Damn Brian Wilson sounding singer ruining the bootleg! Worst $2 I ever spent!

I have a lot of BB stuff some rare some not so rare...nothing like acetates or one off rarities etc. Don't want to bore or brag.......
But the one thing that I have that makes me smile is the Mt. Vernon and Fairway disc with a pristine picture sleeve of the magic transistor radio. I also have a promo of the same with the vinyl absolutely worn down from playing by a previous owner. I found that curious.

Just today, I bought a vinyl copy of "Looking Back with Love!" No joke! Five bucks in almost mint condition.
I have the Heroes and Villains / You're Welcome single, the Breakaway / Celebrate the News single, and the Add Some Music single (all 45s)
I also have the signed Midnight's Another Day Blue Single with Live @ Hollywood Ball print
As far as full lengths, I have the 1971 Princeton, NJ Concert on Vinyl - printed in Holland! Heavy vinyl!
I also have the Beach Boys Rarities Vinyl (early 80's)
Finally, I have a Brian Wilson 1988 Promo copy on vinyl.
I have a ton of BB's vinyl, but that's it for rare.. if any of it is indeed as rare as I think!

A few rarities I have on vinyl
- both Swedish and Danish 45 of Heroes And Villains with the original US-Capitol sleeve (not that rare I guess)
- SMiLE 3LP and the more recent SOT SMiLE LP
- Surf's Down boot lp and CBS Convention 2lp (and a few others of which I can't remember the title right away)
- DW & Rumbo: Sound Of Free (UK pressing)
- Party on South African vinyl
with
the picture sheet
- Bob & Sheri Humpty Dumpty 45 re-release
- Salt Lake City promo 45
- Sunflower, Surf's Up and Holland on Epic vinyl; (early 90-ies "digitally remastered" re-issue)
- and there's probably more, but I'm on holiday at the moment, so I can't check...
O, and I'm pretty happy with my German copy/misprint of Holland with We Got Love on it...

The original Capitol H&V sleeve was only used for the Danish and Swedish releases. The Dutch sleeve is totally different.

The only BBs vinyl I've got that's even remotely close to rare is a compilation called High Water that was released on Pickwick records. The first disc is very random in the track selection, it's got 409, Please Let Me Wonder, Darlin', Good Vibes, H&V, Do It Again, Break Away, and a couple others. The second disc is an abridged version of the BBs Concert LP callled Wow! Great Concert!. I've also got Love You, Holland, Summer Days (mono), Beach Boys '69, The Best of Vols. 1 and 2, and Endless Summer. So, nothing super rare.
...
;)except for this reel to reel tape in a box marked "Look- Vocals take 3", but I haven't been able to actually hear what's on it because I don't have a reel to reel tape machine.

Alex, the first disc of HIGH WATER is actually an abridged and slightly resequenced version of the 1968 BEST OF THE BEACH BOYS, VOL. 3 LP. The tracks that were left off the HIGH WATER version were "Surfin'" and one of their biggest hit singles ever, "Frosty The Snowman." Honest.
