Came across this piece on the web. Great interview with Rick Henn. I didn't know he married a Dragon. Interesting opinions regarding Murry.
Check out page #6.

I didn't realize that Dennis commited suicide. Nor that 40,000 people jammed into the Cow Palace that seats fewer than 18,000.

Dennis's death could be interpreted as suicide.
I didn't read all of it because I'm in a hurry but this is a good interview (even if he's mostly talking about things I've never heard of before). I've actually heard the KFC jingle he mentioned, it's cool to know that he arranged it.

I didn't know Rick Henn had such success in the music industry. I wish he'd elaborate on his dealings with Brian.

Mike's calling Dennis' death a 'deathwish' makes it seem like he thinks it was suicide. though he saw dennis use of drugs that slowly wore him down....

I think it's fair to say that Dennis really wasn't having fun with drinking or drugs the last six years. He wasn't taking care of himself and this was someone who as late as 76 or 77 was very athletic. I do think Dennis gradually didn't care if he lived or died. I don't know if he chose his death, but he was killing himself.

I actually went to the "Pageant of the Masters" this past summer in Laguna, not knowing that Henn was doing the music until looking through the program. The musical backdrop he and the orchestra provides is excellent, and these days Henn looks more like a classical composer/conductor than a Sunray (i.e. white hair!).
