just heard the new mix of this song. boy o boy am i in love with this song. Those string on the intro and all trough the song just great . What a singer/ songwriter Dennis was in the early 70's. He should have had that solo deal with Daryl Dragon.

Thanks to those in the BB camp who got this song on the coming compilation   Cheesy

"Lady" was always in my Top 3 Dennis Wilson songs. I never heard a bad version, from the live Beach Boys' version (on the David Frost Show?), to the Spring version (my favorite song on that album), to the cover version by Eugene Kelly (on Caroline Now).

Lush did a fantastic job with the song (it's one of their B-sides).

Maybe this has been mentioned before, but the American Sprin version sounds like they used Dennis' original track with thetrack levels changed and added a few overbubs.

I asked Steve Desper about that maybe six years ago, and he confirmed that Brian & Sandler used Dennis' basic track.

Presumably with his OK.  Smiley

By the way, does anyone know whether "Summer Love Songs" will be HDCD-encoded?  Huh

Did anyone else notice just a tiny bit of an "Eleanor Rigby"-sound to the intro in the new re-mix?  I love it, by the way.
