No it doesn't.

Love You and BW88 don't really sound that similar to begin with.

And combined, they certainly wouldn't sound like TLOS -- in style, production or songwriting.

Well, he probably couldn't have pulled off something as elaborate and well produced in both those stages of his career, but then the vocals occasionally remind me of BW88, while songs like Morning Beat and Oxygen have a certain mid-seventies quality to them, in terms of the lyrical content anyway. "It's a long, long way from January/All the way to December" - to me, that's just the same Brian as the one who created a song like Solar System.

The reprise "Rollin' Round Heaven" isn't that different to the reprise of Rio Grande... I think TLOS is in the same vein as BW '88 but with better production values, and I'm stuck at the moment to say whether I prefer one or the other. I'm sure both are better than anything from the interim ...
