Beach Boys shoes?
«
on:
April 16, 2008, 08:24:32 PM »
This is an odd question but, does anyone know what kind of shoes the Beach Boys wore? We all know the Beatles wore "Beatle boots" but what about the Beach Boys? In their early photos it looks like they're usually wearing some sort of leather loafers, and in their later photos it looks like Bruce might be wearing Keds and it looks like Brian was particular to Adidas during the 70s. Can anyone elaborate on this?

Well if the subject is going to be feet...whos Pete?
Pete knows all the treacherous blows
The fallen arches and the cramp in the toes
He went to H. E. L. P. and got some sandals new
And dusty old saunas too
Take a load of your feet Pete
You better watch out what you eat
Better take care of your life
'Cause nobody else will

Pete is probably just a made up character who rhymes with "feet".
Al wore white velcro sneakers in the 80s.

The leather loafers they first wore were from Kinney shoes...after that, they switched over to Hush Puppies.

Does it really matter what shoes they wore?

I was just wonderin, cuz it seems like everyone knows that the Beatles wore Chelsea boots, so I was wonderin' what the Beach Boys wore; I always saw that they wore some kinda loafers in the 60s.

Wow, I can honestly say that it has never occurred to me to even begin to consider what kind of footwear anyone wore. Celebrities, friends or family. It has never crossed my mind.
But now it has. And next, I hope we discuss their underwear.

I think Mike made fun of Brian in the 70s or 80s because he had plain, black shoes, much like the cheapest ones you can find at K-Mart.

According to Mike, Al has never changed his underwear since 1965

It's been reported that the first thing Dennis bought when they went to London to promote Pet Sounds was a pair of Chelsea boots.
