Sloan's Sunflower Sunflower is great, recently saw it on ebay with a promotional picture sleeve; went for an outrageous amount of money

- Rainbow People by The Fraternal Order Of The All (= Andrew Gold and Graham Gouldman); anybody knows their fantastic 60s style album "Greetings From Planet Love" ? nearly as good as the Dukes Of Stratosphear (=XTC) on "Psonic Psunspot" or "25 O'clock"

Alex:
Beach Boys-The Old Master Painter/You Were My Sunshine-Dennis lead vocal

I can't believe no one's mentioned that yet.

Good news for PF Sloan fans as Ace Records in the UK is reissuing his first two albums and non-album single cuts (including Sunflower, Sunflower)

Scheduled for a May release it will be entitled `PF Sloan: Here's Where I Belong – The Best of the Dunhill Years 1965-67'.

The running order will be as follows:

Sins Of A Family
Take Me For What I'm Worth
What Exactly's The Matter With Me
I'd Have To Be Out Of My Mind
Eve Of Destruction
This Mornin'
I Get Out Of Breath
This Is What I Was Made For
Ain't No Way I'm Gonna Change My Mind
All The Things I Do For You, Baby
Goes To Show (Just How Wrong You Can Be)
What Am I Doing Here With You
From A Distance
The Man Behind The Red Balloon
Let Me Be
Here's Where You Belong
This Precious Time
Halloween Mary
I Found A Girl
On Top Of A Fence
Lollipop Train (You Never Had It So Good)
Upon A Painted Ocean
City Women
A Melody For You
Sunflower, Sunflower
Karma (Study In Divinations) /
I Can't Help But Wonder, Elizabeth

So that's all of the first LP, most of the second (the missing tracks are When The Wind Changes, Patterns Seg.4) and all five of the non-LP 45 tracks. I don't suppose there will many mourners for Patterns – perhaps a few more for When the Wind, but although it's a shame to lose any of Phil's work something had to go in order to fit into the CD format. Rest assured that those that went did so with Phil's full agreement.   :3d
