Anyone heard of them. I'd not heard of them till a friend of mine introduced me to them recently. Weird, wacky and wonderful folky/prog tinged stuff. George martin produced them.

Hi Richard, yeah I love Stackridge! I have a few of their albums - The man in the bowler hat (Amazing!), Friendliness, Extravaganza and their S/T debut. They sound to me a kind of a cross between The Beatles, Early Genesis, Fairport Convention and the Bonzo Dog band!
Also, two of them went on to form The Korgis  - the late 70s synth-pop duo who did 'Everyones gotta learn sometime', there is a double CD that you can get which has all their stuff on it - highly recommended too!

that's them Matt.
You know all the facts.   Grin  I have to say they were great live.  Go and see them if you get the chance.    Yeh definitly some early Genesis in there. Quite reminisent of SMiLE too. Guess that's why they really turned my ear.

Yes there's lots of Brian in there too, the main guy James is a big fan of all that!
Check out this Korgis song;

It's lovely, like a lost George Harrision song!
