Hows the recording going? Have they even begun? Any ideas for a release date? Are they documenting it for a DVD ala BWPS?

Are they doing it at Your Place or Mine?

Must...know...more!

I would guess it will be recorded for potential DVD release and can't imagine it not done at YPoM, considering Brian has worked with M.L. consistently for so long and is obviously comfortable with him.

Doesn't seem that they've begun though, in that the recent interviews (around Kennedy awards, Aussie shows) kept saying they were going to record it this year, etc.

I share your curiosity on this, though (as I suppose most of us around here do).

Band members were sayig during the Sydney shows that recording was to start January 18 - which it is here but not there (if you know what I mean) - so tomorrow might be a goodtime to hang around the backdoor at YPoM.

Although, everyone should remember that "BWPS" was tracked (instumentally) at Sunset Sound, and "What I Really Want For Christmas" was recorded (entirely, IIRC) at Ocean Way (the old United), then mixed at YPoM.

It was supposed to start on the 18th, but it's been postponed.

According to Andrew G. Doe on the Blueboard:

Message:

... (pretty reliable), the band went into the studio yesterday to start recording "TLOS". As for what's going to be on the CD, there will be at least one, maybe two or three, new songs, and I think some of the demos might be included as bonus tracks (Melinda seemed receptive to this when I, together with one J. Etherington, put the idea to her in the RFH on the Saturday).

As for when... spring, maybe early summer.

Andrew's mistaken.

I vote that a steel cage match be used to settle things.

I'm very glad to see you got the humor in my suggestion... One never knows. (But I was going for an 80s style match, maybe Macho Man Savage v. Ricky Steamboat.)

At some point in time, almost certainly. But hey, didn't everyone battle everyone at some point or another?

And btw, I am in one of the nation's pro wrestling centers! I'm not terribly proud of it, but Minneapolis was home to the AWA, where the upper midwest got it's rasslin' for years. In fact, my dad went to high school with "Animal" from the Road Warriors about two blocks south of the place from which I'm typing at the moment, Roosevelt High School. (Animal's kid is an All-American linebacker at Ohio State, by the way. I, my dad's kid, on the other hand, am a fucking nothing.)

There was a Celebrity Death Match featuring Mike Love vs. Dignity. They both lost.

But still...2008 should be a good year for BB fans: TLOS, Al's solo album and now Dennis' reissue.
