AGD was very helpful back in the 80's for supplying me with cassettes of unreleased BB's stuff that was to give me aural orgasms. I still have those old cassettes hanging around somewhere so cheers again Andrew. Oh, and beards rule  |

I thought this was the AGD-appreciation thread Andrew might not be totally objective on this one as he was one of the winners of the contest.... But seriously: if it's appreciated I might try another quiz in the future. But mind you, don't think I'm the Beach Boys guru overhere. It took quite some effort to think of a few tough ones. Then again, a quiz with a larger amount of "easier" questions would certainly help getting more members to join in. Maybe a "joint venture" with another member / honoured guest is a possibility. O, and I admit voting in favor of shaving the beard...just out of curiousity... |

Ah, Andrew...a good friend who has also been a fine traveling companion and a double-fine convention guest. And i agree that he's very funny, but as i've told him more than once, looks aren't everything...

You are appreciated for many reasons, Andrew, not least of which was your quiet, but quite vehement, support when i was trying to quit smoking. Thanks.

I feel hono(u)r-bound to join the chorus of appreciation (though I'm not sure why at this particular point in time...did I miss something?). I too was one of the early BB Stomp subscribers who got to know AGD through the now almost forgotten medium of pen and paper - I'd write a few daft questions and he'd reply with several detailed sheets of ochre-coloured A4, sometimes with a tape to keep me happy for the rest of the year. Keeping my interest going during the dark days of the early 1980s was a great achievement, and he was on great form at the Smile gig I saw in London 3 years ago. Keep the beard!

I always enjoy Andrew's contributions and find his site extremely valuable.
Does Andrew have another career? Is he a general author or is everything BB related.
If it's all BB he has a dream job (well deserved) travelling the world researching the topic and attending concerts and conventions.
