Concert In Australia

I just got tickets for the Pet Sounds concert in Australia, plus Brian is doing a free show which I'm going to of course. But he is also doing a That Lucky Old Sun performance and I'm really not sure if I should go. I mean I've never seen Brian before so I HAD to see Pet Sounds but is it really worth seeing That Lucky Old Sun? I mean I might be able to afford it but then I will have to sacrifice some other things. I could've asked on Brian's website but of course everyone would just say "Oh yeah definately go", so I just want an honest opinion. I mean this is probably the only time I will ever get to see Brian, so can anyone tell me if its worth $140 (Australian) which is $130 American (according to some free converter)
By the way, who is in Brian's band. I know most of the key members, but has anyone left or anything and is Darian back in the band (sorry I really haven't been bothered to keep up with this, because obviously I've never gone to a Brian concert before).
I will post a review of the shows afterwards and will try and get the set lists from the concerts that I attend as well.
Thanks in advance.

I would say, DO go to the Lucky Old Sun show, its a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would kill to see Brian live.
As far as know, the current members of Brian's band are:
Darian Sahanaja
Jeff Foskett
Probyn Gregory
Taylor Mills
Nick Walusco
Bob Lizik
Paul Mertens
Nelson Bragg
Jim Hines
Scott Bennett
I did read somewhere that Billy Hinche filled in for Darian last summer, I don't know if Darian is still absent from the band or not.

That's good news. Thanks Eric and thanks Ascrodin for your opinion. I'm still undecided. There's still plenty of good tickets left so I will just think about it a bit longer.

Is it really "Pet Sounds"?
Why was the London's concert in November 2006 billed as "the last Pet Sounds performance ever" if they are playing it again now??!

The 11/06 London gig was billed as the last time Brian would play
Pet Sounds
in its entirity in the UK.

Thanks everyone for your views. I decided to dish out some more cash and get tickets for That Lucky Old Sun... I still got 2nd row seats (the tickets aren't selling too well)... it is impossible to find out exactly how many are sold but on the website it allows you to see what the best tickets available are and as far as I can gather the Pet Sounds concert is sold out (approx 2,300 people), the first Lucky Old Sun concert has sold about 400 seats and the third has sold about 60 seats.. Still there is still a long time before the concerts (Jan 5-Jan 9).. Apparently they are expecting about 100,000 for the free concert.
Anyway thanks again for everyone's views. Now all I can do is just wait in anticipation.. I'm SO excited!!

Well shoot the fucking promoters then - all they have to do is reprint any given review of "TLOS" from the UK press: I don't recall seeing a bad one. Given the choice, I know which gig I'd sooner attend.

Well like I said I have never seen Brian so I thought I HAVE to see Pet Sounds. I suppose some of the people going might feel the same way, either that or they have never even heard of TLOS. And yes the promotion has been pretty poor, but then I suppose when bands that are getting back together are touring, like Rage Against The Machine, The Police, Crowded House and I spose even Daddy Cool (w/Beach Boys).. then it doesn't surprise me.
It's kind of strange too, The Beach Boys are of course touring as well so its The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson & Glen Campbell too. So many Beach Boys connections, but of course I'm only seeing Brian.

I'm glad that he's bringing both Pet Sounds and TLOS to Australia, but I thought that this past January was the *final* Pet Sounds tour? I know that one show doesn't qualify as a tour, but I thought that that would be it for Pet Sounds in its entirety.
I wouldn't mind if he continued to do another Pet Sounds tour every few years or so...

So the retirement of

was short lived.

He's doing it continent by continent.
Buffalo Bill's farewell tour of the US lasted some two years.
