I was wondering if you could name (and where possible with dates, on what show etc..) as many TV appearances by the band (or its members) and what songs they played (excluding the ones named in Badman's book)? If nobody knows then thats cool.

That in itself is a HUGE research project.  You likely won't get a quick answer unless it is posted on the Web somewhere.

And for things like TV appearances, Badman is pretty darn good.

So he has a list of all TV appearances already compiled but not published?  And what's keeping him from publishing it?

Not exactly - he's researching the BB gigs and TV appearences, which are going up on the Bellagio 10452 site, and he's discovering that Badman's credibility is growing increasingly dubious. For example, the November 1964 European visit ? Compare what's in Badman with this, which Ian gleaned from contemporary reports, later interviews and the SOT sets:

3 - Top Of the Pops TV show, Manchester, England [cancelled]
4 - TWW Discs A Go Go TV show, Bristol, England
5 - BBC2 The Beat Room TV show, London, England
6 - ITV Ready Steady Go TV show, London, England
6 - BBC Light Programme radio show (Top Gear/Saturday Club), London England
7 - BBC2 Open House TV show, London, England
8 - ITV Thank Your Lucky Stars TV show, Birmingham England (broadcast 14th)
10 - TF2 Age Tendre Et Tete Du Bois TV show, Paris France*
10 - Olympia Theatre, Paris France* [w/Dick Rivers]
14 - KB Halle, Copenhagen Denmark
16 - Konserthuset, Stockholm Sweden
[note - the band also visited Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam and Rome after France and
before Sweden:  the actual dates are unknown and no gigs were played]

No Dublin gig... no West German gigs... no Norway gig... and especially no Piper Club in Milan show as the club didn't open for another six months at least.

I feel obliged to say 1) I believe that the Copenhagen show was actually after the Swedish one- that will be fixed   2) In terms of Badman and TV apps- he has some solid info, but again you can't always assume that his source is perfect. He had access to the BBC files-so his UK info is usually good- but he is on less sure ground elsewhere and is missing TV apps.  An example of an apparent error has just appeared on Ebay. An invitation to the Rockin New Years Eve TV show is being sold.  It shows that the taping was done at Culver City, CA on Nov 26 1974. Badman stated that it was taped on Nov 1 in NYC.   Another error- Badman states that the group taped a David Frost show on Feb 25 singing Vegetables, Lady and Forever.  He states that they taped another app on May 7 1971 singing Cool, Cool, Water and Wouldn't It Be Nice.  Now the problem- David Marks played with the group in Boston and than attended a David Frost taping. The Boston show attended by David was on Feb 28 (I have the ads and reviews-this show was mistakenly listed by Badman as Feb 23).  As it turns out, the BBs were interviewed for a Crawdaddy article at their Feb 24 Carnegie Hall show and again on March 1 at a David Frost Taping- so it all fits- the David Frost taping attended by Dave Marks was on March 1 1971.  Problem- the Crawdday reporter states that the group recorded Cool, Cool Water and Wouldn't It Be Nice- which Badman claims were taped on May 7. What does this prove- Badman source for David Frost tapings is poor.  In terms of other TV apps- Badman is missing a bunch that I found or has errors.  Other examples: He is missing the group's second app on Joey Bishop- aired on Feb 28 1969.  He is missing their first of two apps on The Tonight Show in 1968- May 2 1968 live from NYC.
He lists their app on Les Crane as June 4 1968. In fact, this was the day it was rerun- it first aired on May 2 1968. The Les Crane and tonight Show apps that day were designed to promote the tour with the Maharishi.  I possess a great letter to the editor in which an irate housewife complains that she was subjected to two apps by the Beach Boys on her TV on the same night!! Other apps-he is missing advertised apps on 60s shows like Boss City and The Lloyd Thaxton show- all cataloged at AGD"s site in the Gigs/Sessions sections that I am collaborating on with him.

No..No.. if you've read Jon Stebbins book you will see that in 1971 Dave Marks reunited with the BBs onstage in Boston. He was invited to watch them tape a David Frost TV show in Philly and than a month later he jammed with them at their second set of whiskey a go-go shows in April- he was apparentlly invited to join the group at that time, but decided not to.  The David Frost taping that he witnessed is the one also witnessed by a Crawdaddy reporter-for an excellent article (not reprinted in Abbot's book) that appeared in 1971.   David watched them tape the TV show-but was not on TV himself
