What 1965 show it is where they are wearing the white golf shirts with Brian? Also curious about the one (also with Brian) where Mike and Dennis are wearing Western gear? Both were in the John Milward book Silver Anniversary.

Excellent question - the only shows that Brian probably played that year were were February 13-21 in the NE and Canada, and July 2, 3 & 4, at San Diego, Hollywood Bowl and SF Cow Palace. The shirts are yellow, btw.

I really should read my own footnotes sometimes.  Roll Eyes

The hairstyle in both sets of pix is all but identical.

Hmmmmmm... interesting - in the color pix of the 1965 Andy Williams Show, Mike's apparently wearing the same tennies as he is in both the other pix.

That's right I saw one in color once. Brian's hair is the point of contention for me. Saw pics of the Feb tour and one of the Bowl concert in DAG 4. In those Brian doesn't have his hair in a bang. In these unknown shots Brian does have his hair in a bang. I would say Brian never wore his Beatle cut until October 1965 for the Andy Williams and Jack Benny shows except that the shot from spring for the Sumer Days sessions and Life magazine shoot says otherwise. My best guess is that it was the Chicago gig and but it could be San Francisco with Brian simply combing his hair forward that day.

In October 1965 Brian took a couple of days off from recording in the studio to do some TV work with the boys (October 16 - 23). My guess is that he also appeared in concert during that time.

Jasper that makes a lot of sense but I do have one more thought. They played Texas on July 22nd and 23rd. The hats tell me it may be those shows.
