Keep the Summer Alive!

Bruce has been on the BBB Board recently saying that the current working tracklist for "The Warmth Of The Sun", meant to be a follow-up to "Sounds Of Summer" has 28 tracks, at least for now.  He mentioned that "Disney Girls" made it to the lineup.  Would anyone care to hazard a guess for what the other 27 songs are?

Here's my guesses (in no particular order):

1. The Little Girl I Once Knew
2. It's OK (These two were the only top 40 hits left off SOS, besides the 1981 medley)
3. Sail On Sailor
4. 409
5. Shut Down
6. Catch A Wave
7. The Warmth Of The Sun (duh!...)
8. All Summer Long
9. Little Honda
10. Wendy
11. Please Let Me Wonder
12. You're So Good To Me

Those 12 I'm pretty sure about...here are my other guesses:

13. Bluebirds Over The Mountain
14. Surfin'
15. Cottonfields
16. Caroline No
17. Forever
18. Wipeout (w/ The Fat Boys)
19. California Dreamin'
20. California Saga/California
21. Girls On The Beach

And here are some that I'm really not that sure about:

22. You Still Believe In Me
23. Marcella
24. This Whole World or Add Some Music To Your Day
25. Still Cruisin' (Not currently in print anywhere that I know of)
26. Breakaway
27. Friends
28. Here Comes The Night

Those are my guesses, but they definitely might include a bunch of early album tracks instead of the later singles...stuff that was on Endless Summer like "Girl Don't Tell Me", "Let Him Run Wild", etc.

Good vibes,
Eric

Take a look at what appeared on the recent three-disc European compilation and take out what was on Sounds of Summer (and the awful 'recent' stuff for Euro audiences only, like Fun, Fun, Fun with Status Quo) and you'll probably find your answer.

I believe "Caroline, no" was #32, just as a Brian-solo-single.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Oh yeah...totally forgot about that...so I think that would have to be one of the "for sure" songs, then....

In general, that might be true, but there are some songs on there that I don't think would make the cut, like "Tears In The Morning", "Beach Boys Medley", "Til I Die", "Student Demonstration Time", "Sumahama"...

Although "The Warmth Of The Sun" will probably be on, I had to laugh at your "duh!..."

Do you remember The Beach Boys - "Good Timin' - Live At Knebworth" release? police

I believe they also had a best of called 'Surfs Up' that didn't include SU.
