This is very much appreciated, thank you.

Until I get my hands on one of those last 10 "major" books about the band, or find a definitive collection of Paul J Robbins' work, or a way to contact Cam Mott and he's got some secret notes left over from his research over the decades...I'm not sure what else there is to examine. It took 375 pages worth of text (most of it long-winded and repetitive speculation I hope to trim down) but there's really nothing left for me to say about SMiLE. At least, not right now.

My dad also thought it might make a good book (a few people in my research thread said as much) so I gave him a copy of my transcribed posts to look over. Beyond that I've just got other stuff going on, both life obligations and other extraneous writing projects. (I'll just say, we're living through some pretty turbulent, destined to be transformative times and I was already putting a lot of stuff in that vein on hold for far too long when Brian's death reignited my obsession. What we do in these crucial months/years is going to be how we're all going to be judged, I think, and I hope people act accordingly.)
Of course, if/when I get new "raw material" to sift through or the gumption to sit down and edit another SMiLE mix (just the thought of this makes me feel exhausted--like Brian himself, ironically) I'll post more! I hope y'all stay safe with the craziness and cold fronts going on.
