I'm not aware of any way to keep them away.  However, in order to register, they have to sign up, and click a link in an email.  Can a "bot" do that?

Probably so, that's why many websites and forums use a "code" system: to prevent automated registrations, the user has to type a randomly-generated word...

But d*mn, I wish I had the same computer skills as the guys who create these bots  Shocked
