Here's another '80s duet, JK. "What Have I Done to Deserve This," by the the Pet Shop Boys with Dusty Springfield. Great song. I remember watching the video when I was a kid and being enamored of the dancers' glittery costumes and big feather headdresses.

Can't say I've ever been a Culture Club fan, but that duet you posted really nicely showcases George's voice. But that Gaye/Terrell song you shared was gorgeous!
Thanks, bc. Given the right material (as here) Dusty was unbeatable!
And that Gaye/Terrell duet gets me every time. Motown could deliver the most heartbreaking "middle eights".

Hey, beachcat. :D Been long, can you answer question I did ask to you in Favorite Instrumentals thread in general music? Thank thee.
Hi RR, sorry about the loooong delay! I just recently got back to these boards after a hiatus because of, well, you know, life, but in case it was missed, I responded to your request recently. Glad to be back :-D

How could I forget this extraordinary duet by Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra? (Slowdive did a great cover.)

I discovered another great cover the other day by Rowland S Howard and Lydia Lunch:

Lydia Lunch (vocals)
Rowland S Howard (vocals, guitar)
Genevieve McGuckin (piano)
Barry Adamson (bass)
Mick Harvey (drums)

Hall&Oates should join, it's good duet band.

Yes indeed. Good call, RR. :)
It took me a while to appreciate them (something like 40 years!) but I got there in the end. ;D
This is my favourite of theirs, "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)":
