Hear Tony Joe White’s Rare Country-Disco Cut ‘Alone at Last’
Previously unreleased track appears on ‘Country Funk Volume III’ alongside songs by J.J. Cale and Conway Twitty

The melody sounds very much like the one on his 1980 "Feelin' loose"

There was a "new" Tony Joe White song released yesterday in celebration of his birthday. Sounds like classic TJW

From the newsletter:
Today would have been Tony Joe's 81st birthday. To commemorate and keep the love for the Swamp Fox going, the previously unheard 'PANTHER RIDGE' has been released across all streaming platforms.
This song was originally recorded in 2000 at TJ's studio in Franklin, TN. It was recently discovered on an old reel to reel transfer and we are excited to share it with you. We hope you enjoy and remember the Swamp Fox on his birthday.

No other info that I could find about this but a recording of TJW performing Ben E. King's "Stand by me" was released. Quite nice.

Here's more information from the TJW team:
Back in 2011, TJW recorded a cover of the classic 'Stand By Me'. The song was supposed to be used in a war-themed movie trailer, which never came to fruition. We recently uncovered the track and decided to release it digitally across all streaming services. Since TJ did not intend for this to be part of an album, we decided to just release the single. We hope you enjoy!
