I love the horn on God Only Knows. Definitely my favorite backing track.

Gosh, so many good ones.

My favorite is In The Back of My Mind.

Some others, a little back in the pack, include Salt Lake City, Here Today, Kiss Me Baby

Many, many terrific choices possible here, and so many great ones already mentioned.

For "classical" BBs, "Sloop John B." really has something.

For instrumentals that actually were supposed to be instrumentals (or wound up that way), it's hard not to choose "Let's Go Away For Awhile."

For those who want something more straight-ahead rock, the almost totally instrumental track of "Sail On Sailor" that Alan Boyd so kindly put on the HAWTHORNe compilation really kicks some serious ass.

Billy, if you are reading this, please--PLEASE--find a way to make an instrumental version of "Mess of Help." Much as we love to talk about the unusual, hyper-gritty vocals, the backing track is itself fascinating as all get-out and I need to burn that into my synapses. I've GOT to hear this before they send me to the glue factory!!!  3D
