Could anyone point me in the direction of any decent Beach Boys podcasts out there? I have recently got into 'Something About The Beatles' podcast, which is truly superb – a weekly podcast I only recently discovered. What the two presenters on there don't know about The Beatles really is not worth knowing and their knowledge is incredible. Anyone interested in The Beatles has to give this a listen.

So, is there anything remotely resembling that for the Beach Boys? If not, there should be.

There used to be some great official Beach Boys podcasts which are unfortunately no longer available.  The Pet Sounds and Warmth of the Sun podcasts which each featured track-by-track commentary by Brian, Mike, Al, and Bruce.

You never know when a really great Beach Boy podcast might come down the pike, however, if you're into The Beatles, I'm surprised nobody has steered you to the magnificent Howie Edelson's podcast FABCAST

He doesn't do it alone, he's with the stellar Dave Morrell and Stephen Bard.  Above is the end of the season; go back & check them all out!

Re: FABCAST. . .

FABCAST is new and real.

It's mature.

It's not history being read back to you in podcast/radio show form.
It's none of the usual aspects of Beatles fandom -- cartoons, wish lists, trivia contests, name that tune, dudes wanting to be comedians or on ESPN.

It's another level from how The Beatles has ever been discussed.
It's about two things -- what happened and what it MEANS.

What it means.
The big picture.

Adults talking about The Beatles intelligently.
Brunch is NOT served.

This is Beatles talk after you've learned to swim.
