To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Live 1976, Brian wasn't in the right mood.

It was Brians first full concert back and his only lead of the day on a new song! He does sound supper scared right here!

Once the vocals kick in this feels like a BB recording no matter how unfinished and sketchy it is.

This was the first Beach Boys album I ever owned - I got it for Christmas 1983 when I was 11.

This is pulled from the "Doin' It Again" documentary, where they inexplicably excerpted a song from the sessions that wasn't on the album. Sounds more promising than at least a few of the songs that made it on the album.

What a strange choice of artwork and videos clips to use.

Very promising! From what i hear it would flow righ along where it was going to be placed on the disc! An album can fit two hours of music why only put 35 minutes on! It wouldnt of hurt anything to add an extra three minutes! I think it may very well be in the best half of the album!

I'll never understand why they didn't put it on the MIC box with maybe one or two other TWGMTR outtakes.

Big thanks to The_Beach for this one, never knew it actually circulated! Here's the KTSA outtake "Little Girl", which was eventually worked into "Sunshine". After all this time thinking it had never been bootlegged, it was quite shocking to see it suddenly pop up right in front of me!

Would have been nice to hear something else from those sessions.
I get the feeling that, after September 2012, anything related to C50 that hadn't already been contracted to be released (e.g. the live CD and Blu-ray) was perhaps too hot of a political potato to even entertain. That may be one potential reason MIC didn't touch anything from C50 other than a couple already-released tracks.
I guess we also don't know for sure if "I'd Go Anywhere" was actually finished, and/or if a lead vocal was cut.

I think "Little Girl" has been out there for quite some time. I think it was on one of those "Dumb Angel" "Rarities" CDs from the previous decade.

I still have my tape and lp version of this. Amazingly they both sound like new.

Fantastic, thank you! Love the ending with Too Much Sugar!
I would love to see the whole interview with the "Q" guy - seems like he was really animated and articulate for that one.
