Beach Boys History - A SMILEY SMILE Board Observation

It's nice to find a place where discussion of the BB past and future projects, vault finds and general history is not frowned upon. I have posted on several other sites and private newgroups that were either singluar in their focus (SMiLE, etc.) or populated by youngsters who only want to know how to get backstage a current BB or BW event and could care less about the band's history. When asking Bruce a question several months ago on the BBB forum about KTSA, one poster wrote a reply that seemed to sum up the feelings of many on other sites as well. He said "Who cares about 25 year old LPs and how they were constructed. NOBODY!!!! We want to know what Bruce is up to now. KTSA is a lame LP and who gives a s**t which songs were considered for the LP. Sod off, mate."
You get the drift. Which is why I want to thank everyone regarding their posts about TYOH. If you read my posting of Brad's interview from Goldmine, you will understand how we BB fans felt back then. It was "WHAT?!?! No new LP? And the GH package may or my not come out?!?! These guys are killing us!" So when a chance comes to find out the back stories, it's nice when people come through. I am damn near 50 with shelves and boxes full of articles and books, letters from Brother Records (who were always gracious when answering mail inquiries on new projects). But all of them only tell half the story. So it is nice to have this forum and the people on it.
OK, OK, I'll shut up!!!!

I've been busy with other stuff, but... this board/site has been around just over a year. Thanks to all of you who continue to make it the best place for a BB fan to be at. And happy anniversary.

This is a great board, the second-best Beach Boys board on the Net. The best is The Nearest Faraway Place on Yahoo (and I moderate that, too!).
