No stunning new info, though we got a bit of new vocabulary ("rude") about his lamenting C50:
"Also, there were some things with the touring part of it that were done without my approval or without consulting me. And that was just kind of rude."
Also, perhaps my favorite Mike quote in quite some time:
"I never did heroin or cocaine or the LSD. I admit to cramming my pipe full of pot once in a while," Love says, laughing, "but that was about it for me."

The book will also give him an opportunity to address past legal battles. "
It's no fun to be cheated by your cousin, who was your close friend, and your uncle [the brothers' father and band manager, Murry Wilson]. "

Yeah, it's so stinking difficult for myKe luHv to look over his portfolio and bank account and think about how he's been "cheated" by his no good cousin. Poor, poor pitiful myKe.

The continued complaints about the songwriting credits issue are unfortunate, considering he won the suit over 20 years ago and, apart from some quibbles (e.g. Wouldn't It Be Nice), not much of anyone including Brian says Mike didn't write lyrics for those songs.

Mike seems to be enjoying, as he admits, being all together and putting on those amazing shows; what is he talking about on the road that was rude? Having to do Marcella unplanned? I just don't know. Baffling and sad.

"I wasn't allowed to do what I was told I was going to do, which was write with Brian"
It seems that Mike has a habit of being promised to write with Brian that continually has wound up not happening, despite the promise. It's also Brian's fault, I suppose, for making such promises to Mike, or for at least verbally going along with it when the idea gets tossed around to him. This goes back to the 1960s. And I say "fault" only by which one can judge the actions of a man who's struggled with mental problems, and an inability to stand up for himself. Which is not very much "fault" at all.
What I wonder is: does Mike think this is due, 100% without question, to other people outside of the BBs (friends/outside collaborators/spouses) causing that broken promise to happen? Is that realistic? Isn't there simply a pattern, for better or worse, in Brian's career, of collaborators coming in and out? Why isn't Mike then claiming a vast conspiracy for decades, since his claim of broken promises must be the tip of the iceberg, that many other collaborators surely have also dealt with. He could start a coalition. Wouldn't that garner Mike more public sympathy if he had a bunch of other angry, miffed collaborators who had promises broken too? I'm sure there's a willing group of them, right?
I honestly don't know what Mike is trying to accomplish by stating this. I would in fact like to know. Does he desire a large uprising of people to start being pissed at all of the friends/outside collaborators/spouses, who are all completely and solely to blame for this injustice?

But the thing is BW did write with him on TWGMTR and tried to have him write lyrics to a song during the 2006 rooftop reunion.

Right.
I want... just once, for a reporter to say "Well, if you didn't get to write in quite the manner that you wanted to, despite in fact getting to write some great tunes like "Isn't It Time" in 2012 with Brian... do you think it's just possible that more of a co-writing collaboration could come about naturally, in time, if you'd not ditched the reunion when Brian was eager to start on new material for a 2nd BB reunion album?"
If broken promises about songwriting are such a grave injustice, I'd like to know why Mike didn't go to the press in 1966 and start complaining in interview after interview, about why Brian didn't let him co-write the post-Pet Sounds album with him. And I'd also like to know why 1966 Mike didn't cease working with Brian over it, the way he did in late 2012.
Mind you, I can empathize about broken promises about songwriting. It must have sucked, it must have hurt. I can understand that. But to think that there are ZERO Mike Love-related reasons for this happening is absurd. And to think a relationship can be repaired instantly, and can just go back to a way it was decades earlier makes ZERO sense to anyone except Mike! Mike's the guy who sued Brian less than one decade prior regarding BWPS... how was Mike's preferred level of camaraderie supposed to just magically materialize overnight, without it happening more naturally over the course of time and a few albums?

BIM, SV, IIT. . . .at least 3 song with Mike-collaborated lyrics? Others on Radio? What did Mike have creatively to say that he was silenced in saying?
This is maddening.

This guy on that man vs clown site must have got his group members mixed up as Mike was prevented from seeing Brian huh...

Must have been a hell of a tour for Brian in 2012. Under lock and key 24/7. No one allowed in or out. All meals in his room. Landy all over again.

At the Eugene C50 show, all the Boys were out of the dressing rooms at some point but Mike.. He, turns out, had his hands full in his dressing room.......
