If anyone is interested.. The Smile box on Amazon is 89.00 from a shop in Kentucky.. I believe in Shipensburg  KY.. When the box arrived it had the 3D cover on the front instead of just the  artwork.. I was so surprised.. I wonder if they realized their mistake.. Also MIC box is goin for 79.99.. Both I purchased new last few days..

wasn't the 3D art standard on every SMiLE box set?

it was the light-up boxes that were priced considerably higher...

Nope. The standard box had a printed "cover". There was a non-illuminated "3D" version, but that was a limited edition.

edit - nope again, I'm wrong: I just got mine out of the vault and you're entirely correct, the 3D "shadowbox" version was indeed the standard issue. Apologies.

Really?  I didn't know that, thanks - I thought the (big) box was 3D as standard.

Glad I bought 2 of the 3Ds, as a rat ate gnawed my first one.

I've picked up a couple of the 3D boxes, still sealed, for around £35 a pop. I'd've paid that for the 2lp alone so I reckon they're a bargain. No interest in the light-up box. The 2CD boxes were available for under £10 at one time.
