I've looked around everywhere, but no dice. I'm looking for the photos taken in '66/'67 of the boys in stripe shirts WITH Brian. I know there are some photos of the 5 on the couch, with Brian slouching. As well as a photo of Brian looking out from a door while Dennis is slouched wearing a large hat. If anyone can tell me when, where, and who took the photos, it would be appreciated. And if someone could point out where to find high quality versions of these pictures, It would be awesome. As I would like to have them framed.

Who knows, maybe this can become a new thread for those trying to find specific BB photos.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Coda Hall is talking about this photo session:

Hawaii 1967.

Great! Where and when where these taken?

Considering the performance, it's no surprise Brian looks blissed out on that sofa.

Isn't Hawaii a little late to be taking the Sloop John B photo?

Different times.  The shirts are different.  In one picture some of the sleeves are short in the other they are long.

I don't think I ever paid enough attention to the "Sloop" picture sleeve to notice that Al is the only one who has his shirt tucked in. If someone told you there was a pic of the five BBs and only one has his shirt tucked in, wouldn't we all indeed assume it was Al?

Yeah! The Sloop photo cover! I know there's more. I think that "Best wishes - the Beach Boys" lithograph is from the same sessions.

Apologies if this is too basic, but have you done a Google image search for "Beach Boys" and then refined the search using "search tools" and selecting "Size" "Large". I've been able to find a few photos that way that could be printed to 8x10 or larger. Here are a couple examples:

Hey Coda Hall, look what I came across!

It's my understanding that the photos from this particular session were taken by a celebrated old-school Hollywood portrait photographer named John Engstead, who'd gotten his start at Paramount Pictures back in the 1920s.

(It's a long, long way from Clara Bow and Gary Cooper to the Beach Boys...)

Amazing. Although Clara was quite scandalous in her time.  Wink It looks as if the sun or bright lights are behind the photographer as they all seem to be squinting. Oh, wait a minute....
