Thanks.

Anybody have any info on That Special Feeling?

Seconded on whether anybody has info on this thing. It's been in my "collection" for a while and I could never quite place it. I assumed it was among the Love You demos, but apparently that's not true. Is it possibly from the early '80s, around the time of "Walkin' on Water", "Sweetie", etc.?

Is that Brian doing the piano Demo of Soulful Old Man Sunshine?  I always thought that one had so much more... swing.... then the released one.

I think the piano way played by Rick Henn (?) of the Sunrays who co-wrote the song with Brian. I love the demo, it indeed is much more swinging as you said.

Would love to hear that full run-through (assuming it was such). Did it ever surface in the public domain?

Not as far as I know. I asked that question some time ago but it seems no one really knows about it.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Ah, then we can add it to the "wants" list ("hopes" list?) for the next archival box set release.

What I love about his piano demos is how you can appreciate even more the way he voices the chords (i.e. the Don't talk demo. Sheer beauty)
