A little over 14 years ago, Elvis Costello was asked by Vanity Fair to put together a list of his 500 favorite albums. I think I skimmed over the list when it was published, but hadn't seen it again until musician/composer/deejay Kristian Hoffman mentioned on FB that it was online, at the link above.

Looking at it again, it's got a lot of picks you'd expect from old Mr. MacManus,  and some you wouldn't.  Our guys are represented by four selections: the GV box set and PS, CATP, and Holland. Van Dyke is represented by Discover America.  I have, or had, over a third of the records on the list.
