I love listening to Dave reflect on his days with the Beach Boys. I know this is a recent video, but how recent?

Dave Marks just may be the most non biased and authentic representative of The Beach Boys history who was actually there...
He speaks the best out of all the interviewee's associated....

The guy singing falsetto on "Hawaii" at the beginning of the video sounds a hell of a lot like Jeff Foskett, I was surprised when they showed the band and it wasn't the Beach Boys touring band.

EDIT: I never knew he was in Delaney and Bonnie!  That famous album could have been On Tour With David Marks if they had released it earlier, but I get a feeling it wouldn't have been as successful that way.

Nice video!  I'm guessing it's from 2008 or 2009?

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

He mentions Bob Flanigan of the Four Freshman 'dying recently'. That was 2011.

I agree. He would be terrific in a Q & A.

Thanks for posting the link to this video. At least one thing that's slightly interesting about this video:

Compare (a) what David Marks says, at around 13:50 in the video that RickB posted above, with (b) what Dave says in a separate video, starting at around 11:00.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk-HhvXO7O4

Dave's two statements aren't necessarily inconsistent with each other, but it's perhaps a little confusing.

Possibly? His book 'The Lost Beach Boy' was released in 2007, so the dates you've said fit. I know I saw that video round that time.

I think it is a bit of a mash-up of clips, the latest being 2011, or just after.

right. In any case not >new< from 2014/15, only that this version is new to youtube. Nice to watch in any case.

For all you do, this Dave is for you!

Thanks for providing that link. Smiley Dave's so great, he seems to carry no grudge against anyone, not even Murry.

That's the most sloppily edited clip I've ever seen, though. Just Dave talking would have been quite allright.

Wow, you weren't kidding.  That was horribly done.  Nice content, though.
