I've noticed this steady progression in Brian's pictures over the past few years, he's starting to look more and more like he did when the band was first formed...  It's mainly in his 'childlike' mannerisms, and his facial tic where he talks out of the side of his mouth.  It's fascinating to me.

For instance:

This image is from Brian's facebook page, yesterday, it likely was taken in the last month or so.

Here's a similar expression from wayyyyyyy back in the day, he looks nearly exactly the same sans a few wrinkles

I think he's reached a time in his life where he's more content than he's been in years and it harkens back to how he felt in the mid 60's.

it kind of reminds me of what his mother said on IJWMFTT, when she said that he's almost back to being the "old Brian" from when he was younger (of course I'm paraphrasing) but she kind of looked sad when she said it..

Yeah, they are pretty similar:

Hmmm...

Something about that pic doesn't quite sit well with me. Can't quite put my finger on it...  Smiley

I've noticed this too. It only really hit me when I saw Brian live a few years ago...you see 1960's Brian in there. 70's or particularly Landy-era he was like a different guy. There's a warmth and a presence to him that just puts you right back there. Probably the closest I've ever been to being starstruck. It's hard to explain, you know, like I was expecting to see Brian Wilson 2007, I didn't realise he was going to bring the Pet Sounds guy with him!

I probably sound like I've had one too many.
