Billy Hinsche posted this on facebook. Does anyone have more info about it?

"This is Elvis" just had its world debut on Sirius XM radio during an interview with Elvis' friend, Jerry Schilling - let me know if you got a chance to hear this "new" song written and performed by CARL WILSON and Myrna Smith some 30 years ago ...

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Maybe it's a teaser for the upcoming archival release?

Wasn't this what Billy was teasing a while ago on facebook?

That he had found some unreleased recording Carl and Myrna had done?

On our way through this "backstage" maze, Bruce joined up with the group and said hello, singing "It Never Rains in Southern California" and joking with some of the older ladies. I'm not sure if they knew he was a Beach Boy or simply an enthusiastic elderly gay gentleman.

I remember reading that somewhere too.  Wish they would stop teasing and release Carl's albums.  I heard about this around the time they released Youngblood.  IIRC Billy was saying both albums on one disc, maybe with some bonus tracks.  So I have been waiting...  Would also love to see a live show, from either tour, cleaned up and released.
What is it with holding up the release on solo AND Beach Boys product?  Maybe Billy could explain that on his facebook page.  Glad I have the vinyl, but I know a lot of you don't.  There is surely more than just one outtake.  Hard to believe Carl's family would be holding out, maybe Myrna's family wants big bucks - or someone else in the band.  Gerald Johnson's family?  The other players are still alive, right?  Has J.W.G. said anything about the first album hold-out?  He certainly doesn't hold up the endless Chicago re-packages, or The Buckinghams.  We need answers, not the endless tease.
They could recoup any costs of re-mastering, enough fans want this stuff.  This "family business" is what screws up getting movies out with the original soundtracks.
Has anybody found the track?  I spent an hour yesterday looking.  Those SiriusXM links aren't going to get us anywhere.  I had that in the car for about a year, and it's not worth subscribing to.  I make my own comp CDs.  They just play the same songs over and over.  and rant over.

Did he really announce the song's airing *after* it aired? What would be the point of that?

Hopefully they can make it available online. I'm not super enthused based on the song title, as I'm trying to envision what a Carl song might sound like with that title that might also sound like his solo album stuff. But obviously, I'm basing that off of nothing but my imagination. Hope to hear it, and hope it's good!

To be fair, Billy did also mention it on Facebook the night before it aired.
