Something interesting to stream, listen to, grab on satellite radio, or download the podcast...
First, The Many Moods Of Ben Vaughn. It originates on 'XPN in Philly, is syndicated, and is available for download on iTunes, I think it may even be free after it airs. Ben is one of the few syndicated hosts who regularly plays 1967-72 period Beach Boys on his show, this week his preview included the Wild Honey cover in the group. Very cool, very eclectic radio show hosted by a Beach Boys fan that I've talked up here before, but it's definitely worth a listen and will be probably unlike most radio shows you'll hear in 2014. This week "Miami Steve" himself has show 645 devoted to the new Harvey Kubernik "Turn Up The Radio!" book, all about the LA scene the Beach Boys were a major part of. I'm sure he'll be talking Beach Boys and spinning some tunes too, there is a lot of BB's related content in the book. (Shameless self-promotion: I have a credit in that book too. I know, I've mentioned that just a few times before...but maybe Little Steven will mention the stuff I added. I'm one of about 800 name credits...
