Interesting that Jersey Boys was a box office failure. I'm sure that has the producers of the BW movie worried and adjusting their marketing campaign.
From what a review I read, it seems it's only a "relative" failure, and possibly will be a success in the long term. Seems baby boomers (JB's core audience) don't rush to movies on opening weekends, which makes sense - at their age, who wants to fight the crowds?

Rather, they wait a couple of weeks and catch it at a matinee. So it's expected to be one of those "sleeper" stories, with some lasting success. I'm sure the DVD/BluRay release will do just fine.
