We would be blaming some guy called Mike for saying "no" to his cousin Brian when he proposed a family singing group.

.......oh, and I would have had a lot of wasted time back!

Yeah, seeing as how it descended into 5 pages of people ironically complaining I was f***ing with the formula. 'Cause SMiLE mixes apparently have rules now.

This thread wouldn't exist.

It would.

But it would be about The Hollies.

Other people would write in it.

The moderators would be different folks too.

Um, wait, I see a philosophical problem emerging here...

Ah, but then the first post would be, "What if The Hollies didn't exist?"
And then someone would reply, "This thread wouldn't exist."
And then someone like you would say,

"It would.

But it would be about The Young Rascals.

Other people would write in it.

The moderators would be different folks too."

Were that true, the following would apply:

1 - his English grammar would be a helluva lot better...
2 - his manners would also be better...
3 - he wouldn't be asking so many damnfool questions.  Grin

WHOD EFF, AHH-HAAAA." over and over for eighteen minutes and it sold 17 copys on itunes and the world lost its motion to stop and recognize the genius of the smash hit rock single "whod eff" by scott stapp

Again, I agree. Very proud of my mix, got some interesting ideas for how to improve it, but the thread itself is nothing but a Good Vibrations circle-jerk. Bah Whizzers on you guys and your formulas.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

To the original question, I can answer because in a previous incarnation I was a friend of Murry Wilson. After being fired by the Beach Boys he wished he had never been born. His gaurdian angel, Clarence made his wish come true. His wife Audree didn't know who he was. She was an unmarried librarian. His sons Brian, Dennis in Carl didn't exist thus the Beach Boys didn't exist. His Hawthorne home was owned by Dwight and Dorothy Hendrick (my grandparents). He saw a world where the Beatles were still wearing matching suits and mop tops in 1969. There music hadn't changed much.  The summer of love was just a bunch of druggies playing crappy music. In this world Smile DID come out, but it was a collection of kids songs from Seseme street inwhich Bruce Johnston wrote songs for. David Marks didn't know Murry, but he was part of the crappy summer of love scene and got a career in construction. Mike Love existed, but was forced to get married and get a job as a mechanic to support his child and girlfriend. They get married and he struggled through life. Murry couldn't take it! He said he wants to live! Thus the Beach Boys still exist and this board exists.

"Over the years, I've been accused of not supporting our new music from this era (67-73) and just wanting to play our hits. That's complete b.s......I was also, as the front man, the one promoting these songs onstage and have the scars to show for it."
