Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Not today, but in the past month or so:
Plus the Mingus boxset I posted about in the jazz thread, but I haven't imported that yet.
Two of these are lovely* jazz albums, three are perfect summertime music, and one is a fun listen yet possibly regrettable purchase.
*Lovely may be a strong word for Ascension, but I'm just casually grouping things here.

ALEXANDER HAMILTON

Will they know you rewrote the game?
The world will never be the same
Finally bought it after months of streaming. Strong recommendation to fans of musicals, hip-hop, and/or historical depictions of the founding of the United States.

I tricked a club promoter into playing "The Elements" at a show and it was *fire*.

The Talking Heads album. I had played it as background music and thought it was ok. Thought "Radio Head" and "Wild Wild Life" were catchy (still do). But I didn't realize how awful the intro to "Love for Sale" was until I gave it a solid listen, and there are just some other ok-ish (compared to the first handful of TH albums) songs on there.
I continually feed the need to buy more of their albums, but I don't think I'm gonna invest in more of their stuff, save the
Stop Making Sense
DVD.
Today, I splurged on these:
That's:
Beach House -
Devotion
Clifford Brown & Max Roach -
Study in Brown
Lemolo (local artist) -
The Kaleidoscope

I tried "Knives" and it sounds great to me. So I've got Meagan and Kendra lined up on Bandcamp for future listening. :=)
