Okay folks...question for all you ice cream lovers....

Which brand is your favorite?

For me, it's a tie between Ben & Jerry's and Haagen-Dasz.

Discuss.

Breyers

I like almost any flavor of theirs, but Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite. It's white, NOT the green colored stuff...

You know Breyers isn't actually ice cream, right? It's 'frozen dairy dessert'. It does not have enough butterfat to legally be called ice cream. Still good though!

Depends which Breyers you buy.

I like Ben & Jerry's the best, probably. Chocolate Therapy flavor. There's also a brand of gelato that comes in a clear container that's so good. I can't remember the brand, though. It's so expensive that I rarely buy it.

Talenti! Haven't tasted it yet, but there's a 'Roman Raspberry' flavor that looks good as hell.

Oh man...you're right about Chocolate Therapy. That's in my top five Ben & Jerry's flavors.

That's great! If there's one thing that adds to my weight it is ice cream.

You know what bothers me about ice cream? The packaging, or more specific, the quantity. Did you notice how the old half gallons of ice cream are no longer half gallons? I know it's been like that for a few years now, but the quantity is now 1.75 quarts, not a half gallon of ice cream. No wonder after you scoop out a couple of nice spoonfuls you can see the bottom of the container! Evil

Well, it used to be Velvet Freeze, but since they're gone, I'll have to go with Baskin-Robbins

I eat ice cream every day, but...about five spoonfuls. I treat myself but don't overdo it.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Me Too!  Well, almost everyday - I'm more about two scoops with milk.  I can make a meal on French Fries and a Cherry Shake.  All you have to do is be careful how much.  I have lost weight slow-but-sure for over two years, about three to five lbs. a month.  I watch "other" foods...
Okay, favorites.  Ben & Jerry's is #1:  Chunky Monkey, Red Velvet Cake, and Strawberry Cheesecake.  Haagen Dazs #2:  Yes, the Pralines & Cream is best, but also love Swiss Almond and Butter Pecan.  BUT, as I'm always saving for my next music buy, have to only get those brands when on sale -
I read Amy's link, but already knew that only some of Breyers has that good 'ol butterfat.  Favorites:  Homemade Vanilla (a flavor only made for Wal-Mart in my area), I love Hershey's Hot Fudge on top of that!  Their Strawberry makes great shakes.  And if you haven't, try their fruit topping (one is a sour cherry), that for some reason they import in to America from Germany, go figure...
One more, Friendly's Banana-Split.
Get the spoons!

Haven't tried B&J red velvet yet...i absolutely the actual cake but blanched (pun intended) when I saw that cocoa was NOT listed in the ingredients in the ice cream.

I used to like Golden Gaytime, and many other different types of Ice Cream when I was younger.
But I realized as I was getting older that my interest in Ice Cream and sweets in general just disappeared.
Now I don't actually have a favourite type of Ice Cream. I prefer Sorbets now.

Blue Bell, hands down.

This from a Vermonter who worked within 100 yards of the former gas station where Ben & Jerry started their business.
