I posted this awhile back but it was only up for a little while so in case anyone missed it the first time around.  Given the circumstances of this particular record, I would guess that "Chutes & Ladders" would be a more appropriate board game but this looks like it could be fun anyhow.  The rules are messed up all to hell though, stuff is crossed out, changed around and whatnot.  It's like whomever designed the game couldn't conclusively decide how it should be played.  Game pieces include a bathrobe, a can of Reddi-Whip, a fireman's helmet, a cowboy, an indian, a carrot, a celery stalk, Mike Love's turban and a carton of egg nog.

If an official Beach Boys edition of Monopoly comes out (and it doesn't completely fall for the cliche's), I'd buy it straightaway!

Forget to let the dogs out. Do not go to sandbox in the music room.

I posted this awhile back

I remember this, it was strange but quite an entertaining read. If you don't mind, Mr. Mill, here's the original thread with "ghost" picture:

Lime is food? Yep.

Mandarin and Clementine went to meet the entire citrus gang, nobody ate people.

Cute idea, but it's kinda all over the place.

I suggest...

Purple should be: Siegel and Williams (outside journalists documenting it)

Teal: Vosse, Anderle, Taylor (in Brian's employ)

^The First Side, representing the Vosse Posse.

Pink: Astrology, Numerology, Subud (mystic practices)

Orange: I Ching, The Little Prince, The Art of Creation (books he read)

^The Second Side, representing Brian's sources of inspiration.

Yellow: Western, Gold Star, Columbia (recording studios)

Red: The Radiant Radish, Pickwick Bookstore, All-Night Telescope Store (significant third spaces)

^The Third Side, representing external locations associated with Brian at this time.

Green: Exercise mats, Arab tent and the Sandbox (house decorations)

Blue: Doorway Playset & Heated Pool (outdoor decorations)

^The Fourth Side, representing places in Brian's house.

Railroads should be: Plymouth Rock, Diamond Head, Chicago, Grand Coulee Dam (locales mentioned in the album)

Utilities: Sheriff's office & Fire station (song references)

Corners: Trespassing in Hal's Garden (go to jail), stuck in a French horn (jail), Bicycle stand (free parking), Smile Shop (go).

Instead of Chance and Community Chest, it's Acetates and Tape Vaults. The cards should have references to song lyrics and smile concepts on them. ("host an cutlery symphony, collect $X from all other players" / "advance 3 spaces, through the chalk and numbers" / "skip a turn to buy a ping pong table" / "They found your acid stash, go to jail" / "grab a taxi to ____, if unowned you may buy it from the bank" / "Lifeboat (get out of jail free)" / "Capitol sues you, lose $X" / "buy a painting of jesus with moving eyes, pay $X" / "set up a vegetable drive-thru, gain $X" / "decorate the house in lava lamps, spend $X" / "speed crash; too many desbutols, pay $X" / "host a hashish party, spend $X" / "win a basketball game, collect $X" / "buy a Spector jukebox, pay $X" etc) Other cards could reference the other songs or some of the other books Brian supposedly bought, like Alan Watts, or canceling Monterey, producing Danny Hutton, picture taken by Jasper Dailey/Bob Gordon, getting featured on Inside Pop...every other thing there is to reference.

The two Tax Spaces should be "Murry's on his way!" and "Mike doesn't get it!"

The Pieces should be the Beach Boys (sans Mike because he's a space), VDP, Marilyn and Diane--8 like the original. There's a mandated turn order where Brian goes first, then VDP, then Diane, then Marilyn, then Dennis, then Carl, then Al, then Bruce by order of how close they were to Brian and how supportive of the project. (Obviously this is a best guess. The point is, when you pick pieces you're simultaneously choosing the order.)

Instead of Houses and Hotels it could be Billy's Barnyard and Margarita's Cantina
