I think we should take that 'limited' with some mountains of salt...

...the SS box is still available, almost 2 years after its release. And that after very much high praise. If I were you, I would spend the money intended for a second set on a dinner with a loved one, or ten bottles of a fine wine.

Hope this helps.

It's a marketing term. Also, each and every item produced is kind of 'limited' - even if it's limited to a run of 50.000 copies. Wink

Both the Pet Sounds and the Good Vibrations box set are still available for a very reasonable (sometimes even downright cheap) price. I'm not sure if those ever had the addendum "limited edition" but after 15-20 years both are still easily avaible. The SMiLE Sessions, too - you still get them everywhere.

Let's just say I' be very surprised if you could not still get an adequately priced MiC a couple of years from now. Smiley

Yeah, that seems to be a popular buzzword now. The Smile Sessions are still available everywhere. The Beatles released some limited edition stuff, like a mono box set in 2009, and that is still readily available. I wouldn't worry too much about the alleged "limited" nature of the release.
