Anybody have an idea of what is on these tapes?  Is it straight music program or a radio documentary I wonder? Pretty long
for a doc. What surprised me is just one bid and doesn't appear to be a buy now sale...There is usually high interest for BB reels
and Ive seen some sell for upwards of $300 for a single tape.

"The Best Summers of Our Lives" -- the one with Wolfman Jack, right? Was that just an American edit of the BBC "The Beach Boys Story" from 74 or something entirely new? The BBC one is fantastic and easy to find online and pops up on the listen again occasionally. I haven't heard this version but judging by the length and laziness of radio people, I would guess they replaced the posh voice with a growl.

AKA The Beach Boys Story. Surely you've heard it, if not - go snag it. It's neat.

Nope I didn't know anything about it until now, not much a of fan of radio for many a year now.

But I am a big fan of the reel2reel format...I probably have around 22 machines though not all
are in service and a couple of them are parts machines.

 Admittedly though, the GV snippets at the time were an amazing surprise. I'll have to dig this special out again, as it is quite cool.
