I wouldn't call 67-73 a gaping empty space with M&B...don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE more songs from this period but they did play Good Vibrations, Wild Honey!!!, Darlin, Do it Again, and Disney Girls.
And while they didn't play these last night, I know they've played Heroes and Villains, I Can Hear Music, Forever, Till I Die!!! in the past...maybe others I'm unaware of.
In The past from the era in question, Mike & Bruce also played bluebirds over the mountain, all this is that, sail on sailor, cotton fields,
feel flows (sung by Christian),
okie from muskogee. This is in addition to the other songs you mentioned.
Really?

Both group's 'unique song' lists have several numbers I don't care for at all, but , surprisingly, I think I would give the edge to Mike's merry band of surfer dudes.
Last night's BAD show set list was pretty damn awesome. All that was missing was a few car tunes. I probably would have fainted had they broke into No-Go Showboat or Custom Machine.
Who wrote "Summer Means Fun" I thought it was a J&D tune.
If Mike can do that - BAD could pull off Little Old Lady From Pasadena, right?
Summer Means Fun was written by Phil Sloan and Steve Barri. There's a version with a Barri lead on the Fantastic Baggys album. Jan & Dean got it from them as did Bruce & Terry - Sloan & Barri sang background on a lot of Jan & Deans hits, including Little Old Lady...

Feel Flows is the one that I was completely unaware of.
It was around the time that The Warmth Of The Sun comp came out. They'd added a lot to the setlist that year from that comp. Feel flows was the first to be dropped, only performed maybe 2 or 3 times. Perhaps a bit too heavy for the summertime hits crowds.

I prefer the BAD setliest but to be honest there isn't much between them. I'd seriously enjoy the B&B set too.
Both are very good setlists with a mix of older and newer material. For me there are a few specific favourites in the BAD set. But nothing to complain about with the M&B set at all.

Hey, I have that album!
In the 10 track version, unfortunately.

Eric...did M&B play all those tunes in the same set, spread across a single year's tour, or have they worked those in over a longer time frame of touring? While M&B often make my brows furrow, I'm no basher...but I gotta say that I would simply be floored if they played all those tunes in the same set!

They definitely haven`t played all of those in the same set. Bluebirds is performed in Europe, for example, with some of those other songs being performed only a few times at domestic shows.
The most rarities that they ever performed were in the U.K. in 2004 and 2008. They would play about 15 rarities in each show.
