You hear a wall of Jardines.  Don't think any other real BBs are on the track.

For some reason Al makes this sound more authentically Beach Boys than any Mike / Adrian collab.

I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Pretty sure all I'm hearing is Jardines. For comparison, try Collin Raye's "Winter Wonderland": Brian, Mike & Carl are clearly audible.

I listened to this just yesterday and I was really surprised to realize (yet again) how great they sounded on TWGMTR even though Carl is missing. I really like their vocals on "Winter wonderland" and the whole track but at times it sounds too sterile imo (like on Stars & stripes) while on TWGMTR you can make out every voice on every track.
BTW who produced "Winter wonderland"? Doesn't sound like a Wilson/Thomas collab.

No Adrian Baker.  Al Jardine on the "leads".  This was recorded during their Nashville days in 1996, as was Winter Wonderland.  BTW, AGD, was WW the last song all six BB's recorded on together, as most of the vocals for S&S were likely done before that Nashville trip?

Dennis was on that?  Huh

Thanks Christian! Sounds better than the 90s Thomas/Wilson productions.

Matt Jardine's bio says he sang on Howdy Maui. He's known for his high parts, (so is Adrian) so not sure Adrian would also be needed for the high part (or any other singing). Plus, Matt was a Beach Boy in '96 - Adrian wasn't. Not to say Adrian wasn't involved, but I give the nod to Matt and his Dad (and possibly someone else) on this one.

Nope - Bruce told me Dennis wasn't on it. Vocal session - in NYC - was about three/four days before he drowned. Last track all six - Wilsons/Mike, Alan & Bruce - were on would be... um... errrrrrrr... "Endless Harmony", if you stretch a point (Dennis contributed percussion, but didn't sing). Vocally, it would be... something from Love You.

Why would it be, on a Collin Raye album ?

The print version? Not the online version unless it has been removed.

I sang on "Howdy from Mauii". We recorded our vocals in Nashville while working on Stars & Stripes. I honestly can't remember who sang on the track & I haven't heard it since. I also sang on Collin Raye's Christmas album (can't remember the tune) during that same time period.

Matt, thanks for the response.  Question regarding the Colin Raye Christmas album(it was Winter Wonderland)--was that the last track you rememebr working on with entire group including Carl, or were there others later that you recall?

I think we were winding down on the recording, shooting a couple of music videos, doing press &  getting ready to rehearse, in Nashville, for Fanfare.  We spent two or three days of rehearsing on a big soundstage with all of the Nashville session guys (that were used on the S & S tracks) with Mike Meros & Richie Cannata added in to the band. We did some appearances after Nashville, with Brian, to promote Stars & Stripes (Letterman x2, Regis & Kathy Lee  x2, Grand 'ol Opry, Crooke & Chase, Farm Aid,  & more I can't remember)
