Just possible that this is a different gig to that already circulating as they apparently headlined both nights with 90-minute sets.

I don't know about the Japanese reaction, but it received an enthusiastic response in Springfield MA, May 15, 1979. Carl was in great gritty voice that day.  Cheesy
