The reason was 'logistical problems' (according to the promoter), but it seems that the absence of Brian Wilson and confusion about the 50th Anniversary Tour was bad publicity and did not sell many tickets

perhaps this is the end of Mike's incarnation. with all the publicity many people will opt to not see him not because Brian's not there, but because they don't want to watch an asshole. not to mention pay him.

When a show is cancelled in the region, one common excuse is 'logistical problems'.

Ok, thanks. I know one who wanted to see the Beach Boys very much and was so disappointed when I told him that the show in Chile was a Mike&Bruce concert.
As mentioned before, even before the first reunion show I said that I could see problems of that kind coming up. Interesting to see what this will turn into.

"The Beach Boys are thrilled about returning to Chile, and hope that the event will be rescheduled soon. Both the band and the production are working together booking a new date."

Exactly. At the time there was a currency exchange issue that rendered the show impossible, I think.
