Just came across this via David Beard's Beach Boys Examiner's Surfin' USA anniversary interview with Mike Love and David Marks:

http://youtu.be/TaZ2L5JnVQc

Have to say it's the most professionally polished unwatchable video I think I've seen. Those bits of script you have time to read have the odd grammatical error, which is sloppy; the transitions and overlaid text and, erm, effects just detract from the content and give the viewer nausea. It's like every trick possible has been thrown in "because we can!".

The clip sources are, however, the very best. The music is of the highest calibre. If it ain't broke n' all that…

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

That website has been there since at least the beginning of the C50, and has also said "Coming Soon" since then as well.

Hhhm, the navigation buttons are cut off at the bottom and the scroll bars don't work properly on at least one of the pages. (Using Firefox on a Mac.)

They basically made a 3 minute video from what reads like a Facebook status update written by Mike.  Was that really necessary?  It looks great but really no point to the whole thing.

New website looks great though.

I felt like I was watching TV in the 60's and had to adjust the "Horizontal Hold" to fix the flipping of the picture.

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.

That picture of Mike in a beret on the homepage reminds me of Paul Bartel in "Rock 'n' Roll High School."
