The thing with back pain is, it bothers you constantly.  So even though he's in pain, it's not any worse because he's doing concerts or touring, if he was laying at home in bed it would still be driving him crazy.

I'm just glad that they've apparently found some minimally invasive way to treat it for the big guy.  Hate to see Brian not up to snuff, Brian get well soon!

I'm guessing you've never had severe back pain.

Brian posted to facebook too mentioning a "procedure" on his back. That could be surgery, could be non-surgical intervention. Whatever, he's come out and said he realises people are concerned about his health and he wants to assure fans that he's OK apart from this heredetory back problem that also apparently plagued Carl.

It totally depends on the individual's situation.  For some that may be true, for others certain positions (sitting, for instance) aggravate it much more than others.  And the initial pain could be vertabrate, but from there it may be that nerve or muscle pain has also come into play.

Or possibly a rhizotomy.  Those sometimes have to be repeated months or years later.

Come on, Ron. Nobody's back pain is the exact same as someone else's, and yes, being in a certain position can aggravate it for certain people. When I'm in horrible physical pain the absolute last thing I want to do was go to work, let alone leave the God damn house. I can't imagine touring with nagging back pain. Sometimes it is better to stay in bed and take it easy as to minimize the pain, while other people are able to press on with whatever and their pain doesn't change either way. No one can say Brian Wilson's back pain stays the same no matter what he's doing except Brian. No one's saying he should retire.

OHHHH, o.k. I apologize.  Brian should retire.

Instead, Melinda should set up a new website, Brianwilsonpresentsnannycam.com, where you can view Brian resting, eating sandwiches, and writing groovy new songs on his synthesiser, 24/7.

Come on, Ron.

Wait, you’re not surprised that he’s spouting a narrow view of reality and projecting his experiences onto every other person on the planet, right? Are you really trying to explain his myopia to him?

This idea is genius, and the bloo board would pay big money for this. LOL

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Only in Brian Wilson land... I doubt Macca fans get these sorts of ideas. Smiley

I would quit whatever limited employment engages me at the moment to watch this unceasingly.
