Artwork Submissions: Jan Berry / Jan & Dean Tribute Album

For those who may be interested . . .

Here's an idea that Gertie Berry (Jan's widow) first proposed when I was in Los Angeles for Jan's memorial bash . . . and we're going to explore it.

We'll have a contest . . . and the best original artwork submitted, in tribute to Jan Berry and Jan & Dean, will be featured somewhere in the packaging of our forthcoming tribute album.

We're of course still counting on Dean Torrence to design the front cover for us . . .

Things to consider . . .

• This artwork contest is open to both professional and amateur artists, and fans
  
  
• Submissions must be original works of art, with no copyright infringement on any existing work of others
  
  
• There will be no payment involved, but the winning submission will be credited to the winning artist, with copyright statement, artist's Website, etc.
• Artwork must be designed in black and white (grayscale) to fit on a standard-size page for CD insert.
• The winning submission has to be extremely cool, creative, and professional-looking. Our packaging will be top notch.
• We reserve the right not to use any of the submissions if we don't think they're right for the project.

This is your chance to make a lasting visual contribution in honor of Jan Berry and Jan & Dean.

We'll also have another big surprise in our packaging . . . which we'll announce at a later date . . . closer to the release of the album.
