As I think of the traditional pop song, I think of the structure: verse/chorus/verse/chorus/instrumental solo/chorus. I was thinking of making a list of the BB/BW songs that are perform in such a way that avoids that structure. Feel free to add any:

Most of Pet Sounds/Smile/Smiley

Endless Harmony
Winds of Change
When Girls Get Together
Trader
Add Some Music
You Need a Mess of Help*
Solar System
Getcha Back*
Talk To Me/Tallahassee Lassie
Male Ego
TM Song
Sweet Mountain*
Sunshine*
Sail On Sailor
Til I Die
Airplane
Funky Pretty
Let the Wind Blow
Time to Get alone
Day in the Life of a Tree
The Night Was so Young

the ones with *'s are ones I'm not quite sure of.

Heroes and Villains - the 'heroes' part features impressive ragtime-esque modulations and harmonies but only has two chords

You Still Believe in Me- combines elements of bach (heavy reliance on V-I movement), jazz (progressions, dissonant chord in chorus) and God (the harmonies at the end)
