Just been to the Capitol Records site...

Can anyone explain why the Beach Boys aren't listed as Capitol artists? Is it cos they're Brother artists and Capitol just handles distribution?

It's puzzled me for many a year, but now they're reestablished as a top touring and current chart act, I find it more than just a serious oversight.

I hear you. The new album is definitely a Capitol album. I don't have it front of me, but I don't remember seeing the Brother Logo on the book or the CD.

The copyright on the CD states "2012 Brother Records Inc. under license to Capitol Records".

I wonder if they receive aother contract for 2 or more new releases that they would be added to the roster of artists? This current contract only called for one new and two compilation type releases.
