Hello one and all,

while perusing the Smile Inventory list hosted on this site, I noticed mention of two sessions of Good Vibrations, namely the tapes for the 5.4.66 and 5.24.66 sessions.

The list has a few takes of this as "unbooted". Does this mean they have never appeared anywhere or are they in circulation? I am curious as to what is on the missing sections.

many thanks and send me a private message if this falls into grey area regarding track discussion.

I don't know specifically about this, but "unbooted" generally means that the track is not in circulation.

Seems to me that you are pretty much asking for somebody to send it to you via PM, which is a pretty black-and-white no-no, eh?   police

Actually I do just want to know the status of those specific takes. Pm for those that don't want to publically divulge what they may or may not have heard.

So then, using the inventory list featured on this site which lists all known sources of SMILE material, I am curious as to why the two above mentioned session dates list takes as unbooted whereas no other listing on there has this? I am trying to update this list and that struck me as odd. I DON'T WANT MP3 I just would kindly like a clarification. Given I authored the book The Smile File 20 years ago, you may see this question as the ongoing research which I may update and publish. Peace love and happiness.

A-ha! I have it worked out now. The list includes known takes which are not available officially or otherwise, and lists them as a reference. Sometimes I even amaze myself.

That you liked me at one time is good enough for me.  It is interesting that there are still GV sessions that remain unheard.  Considering how much has...

You are not wrong. Doing a side by side comparison, I am struck by how much of a full session has been cut down by the bootleggers.

It is a case of wishing I was in C-man's shoes for just the one day. The fly-on-the-wall aspect is what makes the listening experience all the more special. One intersting thing: on listening to the session where the film camera was running, if I am not mistaken, you can actually hear it at times. It sounds like white-noise and I was thinking "what the hell is that?". For someone who might want to synch the audio to the film, it would make the job a touch easier.

Oh, and most importantly, I have decided that I still like you.  3D
