a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST
To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Anyone have any ideas on how to download this? If I knew some of these performances would end up on a DVD I can purchase later that would be ideal but these are usually only up for so long before they're replaced with other videos and I'd like to be able to have my own copy!
Do you want the video or the audio?

Of all the new live performances, youtube etc, this is the best I've heard so far.
You hear the blend of voices, and you hear all the individual voices as well. Great performance!

The sound and mix are great, but I can't help but wonder if they are singing along to some pre-recorded vocals...
What
is
all this talk about the group lip syncing or somehow having their voices augmented that's been going on lately? Not to pick on you, but it's all over YouTube as well. As some poster her was convinced that Brian couldn't possibly be singing the lead vocal on the live version of Isn't It Time.
Beach Boys fandom is like this:
When it's bad, it should be better. When it's good, it's fake.

Would also appreciate some help downloading - my usual flash video downloader doesn't seem to be picking it up.

Id like to see McCartney mention in every interview he does for the next 10 years that Brian Wilson once said that (insert McCartney song) was his favorite of all time. That should balance it out

Hey did you guys know that Paul McCartney told Brian that God Only Knows is his favorite song? Crazy! Who would have guessed?
I got a lot of love for McCartney but I couldnt care less what he thinks about GOK as he never wrote anything as good as it. Wish the Beach Boys realised that.
Well it's not like if you're the president of the Beatles or Paul McCartney's fanclub far as i know.

And the singing is absolutely beautiful
http://www.rollingstone.com/videos/rs-live/beach-boys-play-their-classics-legends-perform-in-rolling-stone-studio-20120606
Is there no end to the awe and the joy: the BB are Betty White; they are everywhere and amazing; I listen to the album all day, saw them three times, hear all the interviews, the TV appearances. . . . .it's endless joy.
And this performance does but the lie to any accusations against their voices: they need proper balance and great recording artistry. Bruce sounds great--they all sound great, and Jeff, well, he's a big fan and helps out. . . . .
I hope that the DVDs the finally emerge (including whatever PBS produces and sells) will be this good.

If Mike Love had to donate a dollar to charity for every time he mentions "Kokomo", he'd be in debt by now.

This was lovely
. The "boys" sing beautifully. And if a tear doesn't come to your eyes during In My Room or Surfer Girl, you may as well resign from the human race!

I LOVE it during the "Surfer Girl" coda, after Brian drops out for a bit and then chimes back in with an adlibbed high harmony (2:18). It's magic!
